About the Guru

Vidushi Bhargavi B H

Bhargavi is a distinguished Bharatanatyam dancer and an accomplished performer, hailing from a family of cultural heritage. Her passion for Bharatanatyam ignited at the age of 9, setting her on a path to become one of the most promising talents in the field of classical dance. Under the mentorship of renowned gurus Dr. Sahana Bhat and Vidushi Vinuta Hegde, she successfully completed all exams conducted by the Karnataka Secondary Education Board, marking her dedication to mastering the art form.

Her exceptional academic performance in Bharatanatyam culminated in securing the 4th rank in the prestigious Vidwat Antima Exam, and she earned the top honour of 1st rank at the Dharwad Centre for the 2019-2020 batch. These accolades reflect her disciplined approach, technical precision, and deep understanding of classical dance. Over the years, she has showcased her talent on numerous esteemed platforms, performing alongside her guru on some of the most prestigious stages across the state of Karnataka. Notable performances include Karavali Utsava, Sankalpotsava, Kadambotsava, Yuva Sourabha, and Shilparamam in Hyderabad, Dasara in Mysore, Hampi Utsava, Chidambaram – Shivaratri mahotsava, Brahadishwara – Natyanjali where her artistry was met with great acclaim.

With over 16 years of experience in the dance field, Bhargavi has become a seasoned artist, recognized for her grace, expression, and ability to captivate audiences with every performance. In 2012, her exceptional skills were recognized when she was awarded a scholarship by the Karnataka Department of Culture, further solidifying her place as an artist of distinction.

Currently, she continues her journey of artistic growth by pursuing a Master of Performing Arts at Reva University. Her pursuit of excellence has earned her a prestigious Gold Medal in November 2024, a testament to her unwavering commitment to her craft.

With a remarkable blend of academic achievement and artistic excellence, Bhargavi continues to evolve as a professional Bharatanatyam dancer. She is dedicated to spreading the beauty of classical dance through performances, collaborations, and teaching, inspiring audiences and the next generation of dancers to embrace the rich tradition of Bharatanatyam.

She is internationally acclaimed Bharathanatyam Artist and experienced Guru. Being the Founder of Natyanjali Nriya Kala Kendra, Sirsi, she has done yeoman service in sculpting her disciples. Till date she has directed more than 35 innovative dance ballets including Sampoorna Ramayana and Samara Yagnya. Dr. Sahana Bhat has directed and performed many solo experiments which includes Shoorpanaka and Poothani making her darling of audience. These have added immense value to her profile. Recognising her scholarship, she is awarded the Junior Fellowship by Government of India. She has earned doctorate in Bharathanatyam from Mysore University under the able guidance of Dr. K. Kumar. Her constant Hard work and tremendous efforts added the special feather to her success crown. She is one among the true scholar tom earn this. All these accomplishments make her a precious gem in the field of art lovers proud.
